Rome

Monday morning here in Peckerwood Holler is very cold, about 10 degrees.  You would think we would get use to the cold weather by now, wouldn’t you?  A good way to think – it is one more day closer to spring.

Ball games last week for Plainview were at Kirbyville; girls’ lost, boys’ won 37-7, and the other games were canceled.  No games for the boys this week; the girls are in a tournament at Bradleyville.

We have two new families that have moved to Peckerwood Holler over the weekend.  I haven’t met them yet.  Both Rusty and Ron Ryan have rented their mobile home.  I’m looking forward to meeting them and to welcome them to the neighborhood.

Juanita Herrell and I were in Springfield Wednesday and Norma Cross and I met Bill and Sue Johnson from Claremore, Okla. in Springfield Saturday.

Norma Cross attended Arline Lambs funeral Sunday afternoon in Ozark, Mo.

Attendance at Goodhope General Baptist Sunday was 95.

What an awesome service we had.  Great testimonies and God and Holy Spirit moving and people being obedient!  A CD was played and people praised God and people were at the altar seeking God.

Sunday School Superintendent Lance Stillings gave a great testimony on being called to preach God’s word. Let’s keep him and his family in prayer.

Pastor David used Hebrews 4:11-12.  Word of God is powerful and sharp and quick.  He used Rev. 19 and Rev. 20.  What a spirit filled sermon.  People were at the altar seeking God again.

We are thankful for our visitors and invite you back. If you don’t have a home church you are welcome.

You are welcome to our Sunday night and Wednesday night services.

Our Sunday evening service was continued from the A.M. service with great singing, testimonies and fellowship.

Luke 16:10:  He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
