We cannot use the weather as an excuse for not being in church this Sunday. Well, maybe we could by saying it was just too nice to be indoors! But God provided this beautiful day, so I hope everyone stopped for a moment to give thanks. We have so much to be grateful for. The freedom to worship is a priviledge we are blessed with in this country. This Sunday morning our service started with scripture reading from Psalms 107, and opening prayer was lead by Dustin. After Sunday school, the young people sang, Jesus loves me, and then we sang several congregational. We had a good size group for worship, although there were some out sick with the flu. Prayer request was made for little Maycee, who is very sick, and others who are sick with this flu bug that is going around. Sometimes we take our health for granted until we get sick. We do pray for those who are having health problems. God is the Great Physician. Our worship service opened with special singing with Loren and Hazel, and then Jerry brought the morning message starting with scripture from Isaiah 6. We had several out for Sunday evening service and Hazel sang a beautiful song, “I am no Stranger to Grace”. True lyrics, for if you are saved, you were saved by God’s amazing Grace. Have a great week and remember, Jesus is a friend who walks in when the world has walked out. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.
