Wednesday night Bible study was very uplifting. We are studying in the book of James.
Sunday morning service was wonderful. God sure came and stayed for the service.
There were a lot of prayer requests. We are so glad God’s ear is in tune with our needs and requests.
The morning message was one Bro. Gary said wouldn’t set well. We don’t like “submission.”
He had several scriptures to back up his message., I Peter 2:11-20. Read these scriptures and see what the Holy Spirits says to you.
“Ordinance” could that mean the traffic laws? The stop sign says stop, not a run through, Hwy. speed 65 not 70, but everyone does it, we say, that’s not what verse 13 says we are to do.
Read Titus 3:1 its along the same line, obey magistrates, read Romans 13:1-14 and II Timothy 3:16, all scripture is given by imspiration of God and is profitable for doctorine, read the rest.
Some of the laws of the land I am not fond of. “I have a urgent meeting in Springfield, I am late, so I am going over the limit, so I didn’t stop, completely at the stop sign when I left the post office, I will next time, after I pay the ticket and so what I didn’t turn in on my taxes the money that I got for the sale of the cow, nobody knows, God knows.
How many “thou shall not” and “obey the laws of the land” and “not paying my tithes” will keep me out of heaven, I don’t know, do I want to chance it?
The evening service was given to us by Michael Marah who started his ministry in the church.
God has blessed him greatly. His message was from John 2:12-21.
Michael talked on Christ cleaning the temple. He drove out the money changers and beat them with a cord.
What is in your temple? Michael ended with John 14:6, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. He is the only way.
We are at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave. and N.W. 7th St.
When He was on the cross, I was on His mind.
