Outdoor Storm Sirens Will Be Tested On Monday, Nov. 11

The Ava-Douglas County Emergency Management Office will be conducting a test of the Ava outdoor storm warning sirens on Monday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m.
In the event that severe weather is in the area at that time, the test will be canceled.
The normal schedule for testing the system will be the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m.
Emergency Management Director Billy Long expressed his appreciation to the Ava City Council for the support they provided to purchase four new Federal Signal Corp. storm sirens. These sirens are located at: NW 3rd St. and NW 5th Ave. near Life Church; behind Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in south Ava; at the corner of State Highway FF and NE 2nd Ave. in east Ava; and on top of the hill on NW 14th St. just west of Walmart.
