Sunday school opened with congregational singing on this beautiful Lord’s Day.
Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. He gave the prayer requests and praise reports. We have lots of concerns and much to be thankful for. Sis. Elsie Combs led us in prayer. Jack read John 1:29-37 for our devotion. If we follow Jesus we can’t go wrong.
After a wonderfu Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Jonathon Miller. God bless him. Maddie Shipley sang the offertory song.
Praise and Worship began with a testimony from Jeff Shipley and congregational singing. We gave our vets a big Thank You. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from II Samuel 18:21-33. So many times we tell things before we know all the facts. We should be careful what we say. We should study the word so we know the facts so we can tell others how to make heaven. Make no mistake, Jesus is coming soon. Hell is real. It was a thought provoking message.
We met together Sunday evening to praise the Lord and to learn more about how He works through the Gideons. Bro. Bill welcomed everyone. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer. God’s word can and is changing lives. We are thankful for the Gideons who give Bibles to school kids, prisoners, hotels, hospitals, military people. It’s good to know that they are helping locally as well as foreign countries. All monies go straight to buying Bibles. No one is making a living from your donation.
You are welcome at Caney.
