Our Sunday School lesson today was about The Pressure of Conflict. Please read James 4:1-10. We must overcome the pressure of conflict by humbly submitting to Christ. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me Satan: for it is written, Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Luke 4:8. When we pray we must pray for the Lord’s will be done not our will be done. Don’t cheat God! Any sin you put between you and God is cheating God. Remove that from your life. We are nothing without God, nothing that matters anyway. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags: and we all do fade as a leaf: and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6.
Today’s Sermon was about our Freedom to Worship. Have you ever realized how lucky we are as Americans to be able to attend church without fear? Many places in our world today this is not possible. Please read Genesis 32:24, Proverbs 3:5-6, 1 John 4:4 and Romans 8:6-12. God wants to bless you but He also wants your full commitment. Whatever you do, do it for God’s glory. Be sensitive to God’s spirit. I invite you to open your heart to Jesus today, He’s got a whole new life for you. We’ve all tried life without Him, why not try life with Him, you won’t be sorry!
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace. Numbers 6: 24-27
