Smallett

Sunday morning message was from Jonah 3:1-10, “ Failure is Temporary, Giving Up Is Permanent.”

Sunday evening was our 4th Sunday Singing. We enjoyed several specials and prayer.

On Monday evening, I went to the music at the Senior Center and we had a soup cookoff and our winner was Ruth Evans with her Chicken Noodle soup. It was excellent. We are glad that Jack Breshears is home from the hospital and doing a lot better.

Last week, Bob and Linda McCleary brought Uncle Mack Miller out to see our house. Linda even played my piano while they were here. I am happy for her since she also purchased a new piano.

Well, I finally painted the final room in the basement. The house looks really nice since we have had a lot of help getting it shaped up. I am anxious to decorate for Christmas but, I must wait awhile yet.

I went to Nixa on Saturday morning and stayed the night and Sunday with my grandson, Maeson Carter. We took care of the dogs while Rusty, Becky and Hailey Carter went to St Louis for the band competition in which Nixa took first place in the final competition. Hailey plays the clarinet in the band and she is a senior this year. It doesn’t seem possible. Maeson and I went to Sparta for Perssimon Days on Saturday. While there we helped my brother and sis with their concession stand. Maeson and I later took in a little shopping then pizza for supper and Braum’s ice cream for dessert. I went to Sunday School and church with Maeson on Sunday morning.

One evening, Shirley Smith came over for me to show her how to crochet a project she is doing. Others visiting this week were Darrell and Mandy Logan, Beth Stafford, Johnathon Snelson, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Pauline Okhuysen, Donna Bannister, Bevy Moore, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams and Synthia Bishop.

Until next week Keep Looking Up.
