The Little ones opened the Sunday morning service with some songs they learned in Sunday school class. They did a really good job and were very entertaining.

The Praise Team followed with some very touching songs.

Brother Roberts started a series of sermons from the book of Jonah. The first message was from Jonah 1:1-7, “You Can Run But You Can’t Hide.”

Sunday evening the church enjoyed having a fish fry and lots of food and visiting with each other. We were glad to have all the visitors who came to share their time with us.

I have been busy with sewing, cooking, laundry, visitors (who we always love to have), Delmar has been busy getting things ready for winter. We still have some painting and fixing up to do, but it is coming along nicely. Visitors this week were Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Earnie and Helen Cook, Bevy Moore, Donna Bannister, Synthia Bishop, Beth Stafford, Johnathon Snelson, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Jack and Barb Breshears and Uncle Mack Miller. Sorry we were not home when you came to see us, Uncle Mack. One evening we joined Jack and Barb Breshears, Bob and Linda McCleary and Uncle Mack Miller at his home for supper and a nice visit. We also got to see and play Linda’s new piano.

One evening, Delmar and I rode to Mtn. Grove with Beth Stafford and Johnathon Snelson to get their flu shots then we stopped at KFC for supper. It was an enjoyable trip.

On Saturdat night Delmar and I went to the Plainview School carnival where we saw Darrell, Mandy, Darrell Jr., Dustin, Sarah and Callie, Logan and several other people we knew.

One day Donna Bannister, Synthia Bishop, Delmar and I made a trip to Ozark and did some shopping.

I am saddened of the passing of a dear friend of mine, Theressa Morgan, formerly of Ava, but, was in Wisconsin.

On Wednesday evening I enjoyed an evening of Bunco with my group.

Remember if your life seems dry just come to the well.
