As always, our church began with singing, prayer requests and our devotion. We had some visitors, which is always a great help when your congregation is small. Ruth Shumate brought four of her great-grandchildren with her to Sunday school and church.
Brother Ric read Mark 5:1-20, asking the question, why did He do all the things He did for us? Because He loves us, was the answer to all of them, and it is still true today.
The church gave Brother Ric a card and gift for pastor appreciation day.
The Piland Camp Reunion and Fun Day was well attended, Saturday. There was a good crowd there with a good group of them being children. Everyone enjoyed the games, skits, testimonies, music and the hay ride. There was an abundance of good food, which was enjoyed for lunch and dinner. We appreciate all who worked so hard to put this together and those who donated food and helped clean up.
