At last week’s meeting, we put the final details together on Kids Day, talked about the upcoming Fair and Fall Festival as well as a few other things.
On Friday, Sept. 27, some of our members planned to attend the Substance Abuse Awareness Meeting at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall at 1st Southern Baptist Church. Diane and Elizabeth worked at the home football game that night.
Kiwanis Kids Day 2013 is history! Although there seemed to be fewer kids this year than in the past, there were more activities for them to do and they seemed to have a good time. Thank you to all the agencies involved and all the members who helped!
Some of our members may attend the Fair and Fall Festival Meeting tonight at Krazy Daze. There is also an Ava Fest Meeting tomorrow night at 5:30 at MOCH.
We are always busy “serving the children of the world.” If you have an interest in children and think you might like to become involved, feel free to visit any upcoming meetings held on Thursdays at noon in the back room at Krazy Daze Cafe. There will be no obligation to join for attending a meeting.
If you know of a program you think would be of interest to our members and the community, please contact Donna Dixon at 683-1918 to schedule a date. For all other questions about our club, contact Glenda Little at (417) 844-0408 or visit our Facebook page by typing in “Ava Kiwanis” in the search box and be sure to “like” our page. Have a great week!
