T.O.P.S.

September 3rd meeting was called to order with 15 weighing in with a loss of 14-1/4 lbs. Katherine was high loser. Elizabeth stayed the same. Judy presented the lesson on heart health. Linda L. won Hee Haw.

September 10th meeting was called to order by Sharon with 17 weighing in with a loss of 11.5 lbs. Eileen was high loser. Evelyn stayed the same.

The lesson is on Eating Well magazine article on daily values recommended for 2,000 calories taken from Nutrition Facts Panel and Practical Ways to Beat Stress. 1. Eat a nutty sandwich (almond butter on whole grain bread.) 2. Sweat (physical activity) 3. Pray. Can lower cholesterol by 25%. 4. Cut down on e-mails. 5. Walk the dog relieves stress more than with a two legged companion. 6. Plan your day. 7. Learn to say No (without regret).

T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit, international weight loss support group open to anyone seven years of age or older. The MO #0720 chapter meets every Tuesday from 3p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the basement of the courthouse, Come visit us and sit in on a meeting, if you would like to find out more about T.O.P.S.
