The Praise Team opened the Sunday morning service.

Prayer requests and prayer followed.

Brother Roberts brought the message from James 1:1-6, “Passing the Tests Of Life.”

Those visiting in our home during the week weee Synthie Bishop from Killeen, Texas, Donna Bannister, Vern Deatherage, Bevy Moore, Norman Rosseau, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Pauline Okhuysen, Earnie and Helen Cook, Beth Stafford, Johnathon Snelson.

On Saturday, we went to Springfield to see Stacie Hamby who was in the hospital from having surgery, then we stopped by and saw my sis, Violet and John Flair. We then came to Seymour and took  a stroll around the Apple Festival. We stopped at Mansfield and visited my mom, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams.

Monday evening Johnathon Snelson and I made candy and it turned out really good.

Delmar and I have been doing a little painting around the house. It is looking pretty good.

On Sunday, after church, Delmar and I joined Vern and Chris Deatherage at his cabin for beans, fried taters, cornbread and baked sweet potatoes cooked over a camp fire. It sure was good.

Monday evening I went to the senior center and listened to music and it was good especially when Juanita Darlington started playing the spoons. She does a fine job with the spoons.

My sister-in-law, Kathleen Deatherage, left Friday for a trip to Paris, France, with her sister and father, Kim and Kenzie Cordray. We have gotten several pictures from them and it appears that they are having a grand time. This was Kathleen’s first time abroad. I can hardly wait to hear all about their trip.

Don’t forget that the Miller-Hall Reunion is this Sunday at the city park by the pool. The Saturday evening get-to-gether at Jack and Barb Breshears is looking to be a fun gathering with food and music and lots of visiting.

Until next week enjoy the cooler weather and hopefully the rain too.
