“You’re My Somebody Special”
Ava Place is starting to publish a weekly “You’re My Somebody Special” spotlight. All residents of Ava place will eventually be spotlighted. I must say it is a lot of fun interviewing the residents and learning of their early life and their wishes. Today’s spotlight is Brenda Joyce Wallace.
BRENDA JOYCE WALLACE
Brenda Joyce Wallace was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Louie Wallace and Eula Martin Wallace. She has two brothers, Don and Charles. Brenda’s Grandmother Martin picked her name. She was married to John Waters at age 28. Brenda has one daughter, Jessica and three beautiful grandchildren. Her favorite color is red. Her favorite food is cheeseburgers and her favorite dessert is banana or chocolate cream pie. Brenda has lived with her parents for many years. She has enjoyed helping them. When asked “If you were given 3 wishes what would they be?’ Her response was, ” 1- to have the family farm always be in the family, 2-that her Mom’s health would be better and 3- that her Aunt Ruby would feel better.”
Brenda loves gospel music. She has enjoyed singing with Traveling Strings when they come to Ava Place to entertain. She sings often while sitting and relaxing. It makes her very happy. She enjoys outings with her brothers. They take good care of their sister!
Brenda moved recently. She likes to visit with other residents especially her roommate. She also enjoys talking on the phone with her family and friends. Welcome to the family, we are glad you are here!
