Today’s message by Bro. Rick Batten:  1st Samuel 18: 6-12 and 9:2 and Hebrews 13:5. “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his 10 thousands”.  This was a story about jealousy.  Saul forgot the good things in his life; he forgot about David slaying Goliath; and about his son Jonathan and David being best friends-all because he became jealous of David.  We should all be content and not be jealous, show love and remember how others have helped us.  Saul’s real problem was he was living a Godless life.  David had God with him. Saul needed to ask God to restore his life, like David did later when he had big problems in his life. Bro. Rick said we should not be just content, but be ‘more than content’.  We should always show love and care for each other. Mark your calendars for upcoming events and services, Visitors are always welcome.  Sunday school is 10 a.m.; regular Sunday service is 11 a.m. and Wednesday Bible Study is 7 p.m. Questions:  Bro. Rick 683-5657 or 417-250-0918.
