Hello from our home to your home, the weather has been real nice for a number of days and people have been so good to visit our residents. A number of us have respiratory problems. The nurses seem to think a lot of it is caused by summertime allergies. Anyway the allergy medicine does help our symptoms-thankfully! Joe Gomes is doing well in therapy. His family is good to come and spend time with him especially his little son, Romeo. Romeo loves to give everyone a candy sucker–a sweet from a sweet!
Ms. Sonya is fitting right in with the activities especially game time and has been winnng quite a few games. Sherwood likes to play games and wins a lot, too.
The jig-saw puzzle we started is different as it has a border on it and must be approached in a different way. We will have to contemplate this different as we put it together. Some are puzzled by this difference.
Amy Adams, a new member to our team, made homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast. It was well made and just sweet enough. Really a nice breakfast roll!
Carolyn Lamb is a new resident and she has been enjoying her time visiting with other residents that she knows.
The House to House Singers played Thursday afternoon and it was good. We appreciate it guys and gals.
Carol Carson does Women’s Bible Study on Tuesday afternoon and she is a big blessing to our ladies.
Monday morning Mrs. Ruby Sievert’s family threw her a huge birthday party, with cake and all the trimmings and special music. All the residents enjoyed the party.
First Southern Baptist Church was here Sunday afternoon for worship and music. Rev. Bob Bishop was their guest speaker. We knew him years ago when we were in associational work of Douglas-Ozark Assocation. Let us pray for this church as they seek a new pastor to lead this church in their services to this community.
Our Heart of the Ozarks Angel, under the tree, is being renewed again, We hope to be able to replace her as beautiful as she was before so much rain caused ruin. Keep watching for her return.
We would like to welcome Carolyn Lamb, Lilly Reese and Dessie Ludwig to our home.
God Bless You From Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, MO.
