We’re having the most beautiful Tuesday morning, about as perfect as you can get.
I just talked to my sister, Lorene in Mountain Grove and she said her husband was on the roof trying to fix the roof. The heavy rains had caused it to leak. Maybe all the heavy rain is over and we can all get our outside work done.
We have been having wonderful services with the Holy Spirit moving in the services.
Sis. Loretta taught Sunday school. Our key verse was Phil. 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheth me.” I wish we would all follow God’s instuctions just to see what a good God we serve and only wants what is best for us, but we have to do our part also.
Our ladies set dinner for the David and Sandy Chambers family who lost their son to an accident drowning in Illinois. We were sorry for the loss of their son. I appreciate the ladies for all the work of setting a beautiful luncheon for the family. He was buried at the cemtery at Turkey Creek with Pastor Vinson officiating.
I want to wish some happy birthdays and anniversaries for August: Sis. Earnestine Martin, our granddaughter, Addison Wallace, Sis. Barbara Martin, Sis. Mary Mason, Sis. Leah Lee, Sis. Mary Conrad, our grandson, Andrew Huffman, Jerry Huffman, Sis. Betty Hesterlee as well as their anniversary on the same day as her birthday, Bro. Darrel and Sis. Betty Hesterlee, Bro. Bob and Shirley Fleetwood. God bless each of you.
I haven’t been to our music at the center on Monday nights or Oldfield Opry because of knee problems, but we did go to the live theater in Ava to hear the “Bakers.: The three youngsters and their mother played and sang. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard a more talented groups of singers. I hope someday to hear them again.
A doctor at the bone and joint where I go injected a drug called Kenlog in both knees and that helped some and a few weeks later they injected symvisc a cushioning between the bones I’m hoping that will help. I miss getting out as much as I did.
We were glad to see Bro. Ross and Earnestine Martin back in church. I’m sure they miss being here in service as we miss them being with us. We had lots of prayer request Sunday and hoping to hear that many of them are doing fine now.
I want to say hello to Sis. Charlotte Brown, Sis. Mary Mason’s mother who has been out for a long time with breathing problems. May this dryer weather we are getting now help with your breathing. Also, Sis. Jane Mitchell may this weather change help you. We also miss you helping with our quilting on Wednesday.
