Caney Church came together Wednesday evening to praise the Lord and study His word.
Bro. Jack Essary took charge of the services. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer.
Jack read II Peter 3:1-6.
People are asleep and don’t believe Christ is coming back. We should repent and start watching for Jesus because He is coming whether we are awake or believe it or not. Jesus died for all who believe. Choose today where you will spend eternity.
We had a wonderful time of learning and reading God’s scripture.
We need to pray hard for our nation.
Sunday school opened singing praises to the Lord. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Jeff Shipley led us in prayer. Jack read Psalm 96 for our devotion. We cannot praise the Lord enough. We dismissed to study God’s Holy Word.
After a very interesting Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Dylan Roberts. Happy Anniversary was sung to Pastor Bill and Melba Austin. God bless them all. Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received. What a blessing she is.
Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley, Hi Lambeth, Lila Roberts, Tracy Shipley and Melba Austin. We began with congregational singing. Pastor Bill brought the morning message from Deuteronomy 6:1-12, 24-25, 7:6-7, 8:1-3, 10-19. Beware that we don’t forget the Lord and all His blessings. Obey His commandments and follow Him or He will testify against you and you shall surely perish.
Service closed with Sis. Melba singing. We had an altar of prayer for those in need.
Sunday evening we sang to begin service. Bro. Jeff took charge of the service by taking prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Melba Austin, Janice Lafferty and Bill Austin. Bro. Jim Lafferty was our speaker Sunday evening. He brought his message from Psalms 7:8-16. We serve a living God and He will judge us. Trust in the Lord, follow His word and you’ll be blessed. God is angry with the wicked everyday. Don’t live in sin, your dealing will be upon your own head. You will want grace and mercy. Ask Jesus into your heart.
It was a thought provoking message.
Come worship with us, you are always welcome.
