Ava Lions Club Honored With Meal; Welcomes Guests

The Ava Lions Club met Monday evening for their regular meeting at the Lions Den.
A wonderfully, delicious meal was prepared and served by Sherry Doane. Sherry chose to present this meal to the club in appreciation for the contributions and service the Ava Lions Club serves to the community.
Honored guests for the evening were Emily Armour, accompanied by her parents, Dwight and Connie Armour, and Lions Governor Nick Paulin, representing the Missouri Southwest Region of Lions International.
Emily was selected to represent the Ava Club as a member of the Missouri All-State Band. The band toured, played concerts and parades in Missouri, Arkansas and New Orleans. Emily addressed the club and told of her experiences during the training period and performances. She was very appreciative of the opportunity to gain musical knowledge and experience that she could share as a senior member of the Ava High School Band.
Governor Paulin then addressed the club and reported on the activities and progress of the clubs in our region.
