Please join us this Friday at 6:30 p.m. for prayer meeting at Thornfield General Baptist Church.
Please pray for Matt Smith, Mr. and Mrs. David Lawson, Audean Watson, Annie Vaughn, Tatym Mahan, Ethel Thomas, Gordon Gladdin, Sue Bennett and Kim Watson.
Mrs. Alene Turner began services this morning by reading Isaiah 6:8.
Today’s Sunday School lesson was about God Restoring His People. Please read Ezra 1:1-15, Nehemiah 8:1-6 and Jeremiah 29: 10-14.
We all fail but it is reassuring to know that God desires to bring us back unto Himself. God kept His promise to restore a remnant. When the Jews returned from Babylonian exile, they rebuilt the temple and focused on the law of God.
Mr. Dwayne Davis spoke to our church today on behalf of the Gideons.
Have you ever seen the Bibles that are in hospitals, hotels and doctors offices? These are placed there by the Gideons. Have you ever picked up one of these Bibles to read them?
The Gideons have a wonderful ministry that is 114 years old this month and gives all the glory to God! To date they have given away over 84 million Bibles and has over 300 thousand members to do their mission work. There are three things you can do to support this important ministry, 1) prayer 2) offerings 3) become a Gideon.
Mrs. Jamie Turner brought up a good point today by saying “You can’t change your past, but you can change your future!” Isn’t it wonderful that when we are saved, God tells us in Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
He is right there beside you right now waiting on you to reach out to Him. Salvation is waiting for you today. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and died on the cross for you and rose again just say this prayer. Dear Lord, I’m a sinner, please forgive me of my sins, please come into my heart and save me today. Amen!
If you don’t have a church home, please join us for Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Worship Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Barry DeWeese.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me,” Revelation 3:20.
