Sandy Church News

Camps are all over at White River Campgrounds with a total of 221 campers attending.  Some from the church helped each week.  Juanita and Harold Menzies attended all four weeks to work in the kitchen.

Prayer requests were shared for Cody Menzies, who was injured by a horse while riding, Judy Phillips, our Lord’s service and our travelers, Elane, Ashton and Erin Crum, who are in Florida, and Neal and LeaAnn, who are in Arkansas.  Stan Humbyrd prayed this prayer.

Happy birthday was sung to Mary Lou Hodges, Adalynn Siler, Casey Dobbs, Eldon Hodges and Doyle Humbyrd.

Aaron Humbyrd prayed the offertory prayer as he and Danny Johnson received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.  Stan Humbyrd led us in songs.  Testimonies were given giving our Good God praise and glory. Van Menzies was our speaker.  He read from John 8:28, Jesus came to set us free.  Jesus said, “Whosoever commits sin is a servant of sin.  If the son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed”.    We were dismissed by Daniel Wilson.

At 6 p.m., we began with prayer followed by singing.  Doyle Humbyrd prayed this prayer.  Testimonies and scriptures were given.  Danny Johnson and Casey Dobbs sang, “Step into the Water”.   Van Menzies read and shared from Acts 26, Paul’s defense.  He gave his testimony after Agrippa said to him, “You may speak for yourself”.

Tuesdays at 7 p.m. is prayer meeting.   Wednesdays at 7 pm is our regular Bible study again with Pastor Neal.
