We began with singing, followed by our prayers for our families, church families, the lost and our leaders with the terrible things that are going on in our world. We were glad to have our visitors in the worship service.
Brother Ric continued his series on the Ten Commandments, Honor thy father and mother. We begin as children to have honor and respect for our earthly fathers and mothers, and should continue to honor our heavenly father with that same respect and reverence.
Sunday evening was our Gideon’s program, with Bill, Glen Dale and Dwight. Everyone enjoyed the message, the after music and lots of good food and fellowship. We appreciate the large group who attended, brought food and gave generously to such a worthy cause.
We sang Happy Birthday to Miss Haley in the morning service. Also, belated wishes for Sister Mae
Cox, whose birthday also was Sunday.
Nina Carter has had several members of her family visiting her for several days, from the state of Georgia. They attended church with her Sunday morning, and two of them did a great job with special music. They returned to their homes the first of the week, after a trip to Lake of the Ozarks, to visit other family.
Martin Hathcock’s visitors lately were Wes and Pat Smith, Eleazar and Ronda Soto, and Martin’s new neighbors came by to say hello.
Earl and Jan Hall and grand-daughter, Amanda Muller, all of Tulsa, OK., visited with J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Sunday. Tom and Jewell Elliott spent the afternoon with them, also.
Visitors of Tom and Jewell this week were James Elliott, Shaun, LeAnna and MaKayla and Logan.
Tom and Jewell visited in the home of Jim and Carla Hearod, and grandson, Jordan Lindsay, of Tenn., one evening last week.
Glad to hear Myrl Cox is slowly recovering from a painful bout with shingles, but according to the doctor, a lighter case, since she had the shingles vaccine. We send birthday greetings to Myrl, whose special day is July 23. Doug and Kristie Lansdown visited her one day last week, and brought her an early birthday gift. Paul had visited his mother, one day, and Pat did her shopping, Monday.
Miss Amy Hutchison came to visit her grandparents, Harold and Kay Hutchison, Saturday, staying until Tuesday. Morgan Clement spent a few days with them, also. Dylan Clements, Kim and Danny Clements came by one day to visit. Shirley Hutchison and cousin, Breann, of West Plains, came to take Amy back home.
