Activities around the Center this week include Tuesday—Tai chi senior exercise class 10, Pitch tournament noon. Thursday—Driver’s exam 9:30-3:30. Friday—Tai chi senior exercise class 10.
Men over 50 are twice as likely as women to develop and die from skin cancers, so it’s time to lotion up. Keep sunscreen with you at all times, and reapply it every two hours when you’re out in the sun. Focus on your ears and scalp (why didn’t they just say your bald head!)—two areas where skin cancer is more common in men than women.
The Monday night jam session was tremendous with 146 in attendance. Not as many as last week’s 162, but we had a new musical instrument, the nose harp. Who’d thought it? Everybody wanted to look at it, but none were willing to touch it.
I wonder if Chinese tourists get upset when they buy a souvenir from America and find out it was made in China?
