Many people still think that crushing chest pain is the only symptom of a heart attack, but these lesser-known warning signals also warrant an immediate call for help: (1) Lightheadedness and shortness of breath after minimal effort. (2) Numbness, tingling, or pain in your arm (especially the left one), jaw, neck or back. (3) An uncomfortable pressure or squeezing in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes.
You have an open invitation to come and eat with us any day (suggested donation of $3.50) or play a game of cards or Mexican dominoes.
We will have our 18th Annual Miles for Meals fundraiser on Saturday, September 7. If you would like to help us, please send your check to Ava Senior Center, Box 1166, Ava. We sincerely appreciate anything you can send or bring by the Center.
