T.O.P.S.

May 21st meeting was called to order with 13 weighing in with a weight loss total of 24-3/4 lbs. High loser was Eileen.

Billy received charms for walking. We had a discussion on Exercising for Arthritis.

Lesson today was Dr. Oz’s Weight Loss Secret – motivation comes from success. Consistency is a big contributer. Buy in season keeps cost down and freeze them. Find an activity you love more effective than forcing yourself to do an activity that you dislike.

T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibily) is a non-profit international weight-loss support group open to anyone 7 years of age or older. It meets every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the basement of the courthouse. Come and visit us and sit in on a meeting if you would like to find out more about T.O.P.S. We welcome anyone looking to get and stay healthy.

May 28th meeting was called to order by Sharon with 15 weighing in with a weight loss total of 9 lbs. High loser was Ulla. Margaret stayed the same.

The contest winners were Billy and Eileen. The weight loss charm winners were Eileen and Margaret L. The halfway to goal charm winner was Linda.

“Who Moved My Cheese?” Summer contest starts in June and ends in August.  Our area captain will come to Ava for a team walk at this time. The contest guidelines were given out today. Fall Rally, Saturday, October 12th in Lebanon.

Programs before awards and recognition T.O.P.S. programs at least once a month. Open House is to be the first Tuesday after the 4th of July will have foods to share.

June 4th meeting was called to order by Sharon with 12 weighing in with a weight loss total of 15 3/4 lbs. High loser was Eileen. Eileen is halfway to her goal. Margaret got consecutive loser.

The lesson was on good breakfast choices and foods that make your tummy flatter. Try new Quaker Oats Real Medleys flavored multigrain choices – cherry and pistachios, peaches and almonds, summer berries.

What To Eat To Make Your Stomach Flatter – blueberries, fennel, plain yogurt, ginger, peppermints and pineapple.

Eileen, Rachel and Liz lost Easter holiday weight.

Those who lost weight after Memorial Day and received charms were Billy, Clara, Eileen, Evelyn, Judy, Marg L., Sharon and Ulla.

We ended with T.O.P.S. pledge.
