We began with a small group at 9:30 a.m. for prayer time. At 10 a.m., prayer requests were given and LeaAnn Crum prayed this prayer. A thank you card was read from Aaron, Jenin, Makinna and McCoy Humbyrd. Happy birthday was sung to Abby Dobbs and happy anniversary to Jerry and Debbie Pitts.
Danny Johnson and Paul Duckworth received our Lord’s tithes and offerings. Danny led us in Victory in Jesus. Testimonies were given about our great God.
Pastor Neal preached a great message reading from Genesis 2 and Ephesians 5. God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a help meet.” We are to submit ourselves to one another in the fear of the Lord; first, always, unto the Lord then to one another. We have a problem with that.
At 4 p.m. a wedding shower was given by Judy and Shannon Wilson and Dawnya McFarlin for Ashton Crum and Sean Templeton, who will be married on Saturday, July 13 at 2 p.m. They received many nice gifts.
At 6 p.m. we went to Beaver Creek for a baptizing at Brownbranch. Van Menzies shared scriptures after singing. He and Pastor Neal baptized seven people. It was so good to see. We praise the Lord for his great works among us.
Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer meeting. As always, there is a great need for prayer. Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study on the prayers of Abraham, Moses, Jacob and Elijah, these were great men of God and great intercessors. Oh, how we need these today.
Friday night at 6 p.m. is family night at church. Stan and Kim Humbyrd are doing the service. Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. is the Bible School meeting, which will be held July 15-19 from 6-8 p.m. We need workers. May God send the right ones is our prayer. Our God is so good.
Junior camp is this week with Josh and Emily Johannes for 3rd and 4th graders. Some will go Wednesday to help with lunch and Thursday to help with breakfast.
