Food Harvest items were collected. White River Kiddie Camp was held Friday and Saturday with 24 campers and Beth Dunn as Director. This week is Senior Camp for high school with Stephanie Chambers and Chris Sims as Directors. We have three campers. They are Erin Crum, CJ Horsey and Gabe Shipley.
Juanita Menzies prayed the opening prayer. Happy birthday was sung to LeaAnn Crum and Kevin Hodges. LeaAnn received a card and love gift from her church family. We appreciate LeaAnn and the many hats she wears. Praises and testimonies were shared.
Special music was provided by Stan Humbyrd and LeaAnn and Erin Crum. Pastor Neal prayed and read from Exodus 28, the garment of the High Priest. Let the church understand what we have. The covering was the abiding presence of the Lord, holy garments for glory and beauty. Our righteousness is as filthy rags. We need the cover.
At 6 p.m. Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing. Danny Johnson and Abby Dobbs provided special music. Danny played the guitar with Abby on the fiddle for her first time—great job, Abby. The kids sang with help from Kim Humbyrd, children’s church leader. Singers were Adalynn Siler, Alyssa Boyd, Makinna and McCoy Humbyrd. Prayer requests were for Jim Harris’ mother who had back surgery. We had special prayer for some of the workers for Junior High Camp, which is next week with Neal and LeaAnn as Directors. The workers present were Zohn and Shanda Engelhardt, Ashton Crum, Sean Templeton, Rhonda Dobbs, Kevin Hodges, Harold, Juanita and Cody Menzies.
Van Menzies preached from John, Matthew and James. Who is the Master? If you were on trial, would there be enough evidence to convict you as a Christian?
Each Tuesday is special prayer meeting at 7 p.m. and each Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study.
Next Sunday is our monthly fellowship dinner for June. Come and be with us.
