Howdy. Hasn’t this been a real nice beginning June? Weather has been just right and aren’t the flowers just gorgeous? Everyone’s knock-out roses look beautiful. Not everyone is getting to see what we are seeing. There are a lot of people in the hospital this week.
Ronnie Atchison has been very sick. He is still in St. John’s. I sure missed him sitting with us at the poles on Tuesday.
Sherry Stidham is also in St. John’s. She has an infection in her foot again.
Juanita Sinning has had a spell of falling. She is in Cox.
Dwayne McNeil, married to Robin (Hall), is very dependable to come in the sale barn every Thursday morning. He was sure missed this week by me. He had a heart attack and on top of that, they had to do gallbladder surgery. I don’t know what hospital he is in, but I do wish him a speedy recovery.
Now, about the election. We had 199 voters to show up but there was one that sticks out most of all. Jan Kelly came and brought Simpson’s strawberries. We appreciate you Jan, they were delicious.
Wednesday, they got the trusses on Travis and Mikyla’s home. Randy Hylton, James Hurtt, Jeff DaVault, Jeff Watts, Gordon Swisloski, David Richardson, David Coatney and Chad got in gear and had them all put up by noon. Then dinner was brought to them. That’s probably what made them work so fast. They could smell the fried chicken.

Fun Facts: Delta Forrest sold blackberries after she had picked for her mama. She got 10 cents a gallon. She also trapped rabbits and sold them for 10 cents a piece to get money to go to the carnival that came to town when she was a little girl. There were 10 kids that Delta’s mama had and raised and everyone of them had to help out.
Hold a tight reign over the three T’s – Thought, Temper, Tongue – and you will have few regrets.
