Caney Church went to White River Youth Camp Wednesday evening service. What a blessing to hear the youth use their talents for the Lord and then use the altar to pray for themselves and their families.
Sunday School began with congregational singing.
Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. He took prayer requests and praise reports. We have many concerns. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led us in prayer. Jack read Isaiah 42:1-9 for our devotion. Happy Birthday was sung to Elsie Combs and Jeff Shipley. God bless them. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley and Lorrinda Coulter. We proceeded to congregational singing. Bro. Van Menzies was our guest speaker. He brought his message from I John 5:1 and Romans 12:1-2. If we love Jesus can others see Jesus in us. We must believe in Jesus and His blood. Can we be saved? Baptism is saying that we will follow and obey Christ if we allow Christ to work in us then we can be a witness of Christ. You should have personal knowledge of the word of God so that we can’t be led wrong by man. We were so blessed with this man.
We were also blessed to have Bro. John, Sis. June Durden from Springfield with us.
We met again at 6 p.m. to praise the Lord. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were received. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Bill Austin, Jack Essary, Janice Lafferty and Melba Austin.
Bro. Jim Lafferty spoke Sunday evening. He brought the message. God’s salvation plan is simple. The word says this is the way we have to do then that’s the only way. It will not be my or your opinion, but god’s that matters. Does the world see Jesus in you? Do you, can you thank Him enough? Think about your blessings. It was a thoughtful message. It was a good day in the house of the Lord.
Keep the Sabbath and keep it Holy. You are always welcome at Caney Church.
