I talked with Bonnie Phipps Sunday and she didn’t have any news only that she went to church Sunday.
Last Monday night was our O.E.S. Meeting and we voted on three more people into our chapter and we will eat at 6 before our meeting.
I cooked last Tuesday for Lloyd Shumate family and for the O.E.S. Bake Sale we had on Thursday and Friday and I got out and voted that day too.
That night I went over to the lodge hall and ate fish that the Masons had cooked for the O.E.S. and themselves, it sure was good.
Lloyd Shumate’s funeral was Wednesday at 2 and I attended it. Thursday after the O.E.S. sale when I got home Kay Hutchison stopped and picked up my food and took it with the rest of Mt. Tabor Church peoples food down to the Piland Youth Camp for the Senior Camp.
Friday after the O.E.S. had closed and packed up the rest of the things that didn’t sell that evening Nina Carter and I went to Ozark to the Stained Glass Theatre and saw The Heart of Stone and it sure was good.
This one goes Thursday, Friday and Saturday the rest of this month and July 5 and 6.
Saturday afternoon I attended Kelsey Seaborn’s baby shower that Sherry Blakey and Laura Blakey had given for her. She got lots of clothes, diapers, bibs, one blanket and two sets that had lotions. Oil, Q-tips, and etc. and others I have missed. There was some that couldn’t make it so she will get more later on.
On my way home, I stopped and visited with Marie Dickey and Pauline Schauffler before I came home.
Saturday morning I stopped by Ruth Shumate’s and picked up Jewell Elliott, Kay Hutchison and Evelyn Bryan’s dishes and took them to them on my way to Bessie Hall’s sale.
When I went to church Sunday night I stopped by Ruth and picked up my table that I loaned her and my pans.
Lets keep our sick folks in our prayers.
My prayers and sympathy goes out to all who have lost a loved one.
Lets keep praying for our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training.
