Smallett

Sunday morning service was opened with the Walnut Grove Church Bluegrass band playing music and singing gospel hymns.

Brother Roberts brought a message of Remembering the military who had sacrificed for us and for Jesus who gave His life that we could be forgiven of our sins.

This week has been  busy. Delmar and I made a trip to Windsor, MO. to visit my Uncle Hugh and Aunt Violet Morris. They are both in the nursing home there, Uncle Hugh doesn’t comprehend much these days, but Aunt Violet is as alert as always. She was happy to see us and we were happy to see them. We ate lunch with Aunt Violet, but Uncle Hugh has to be fed so the staff took him to the dining room.We were treated to a private lunch in the conference room with Aunt Violet.

We visited one afternoon with my mom, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams.

We also, visited with Keith and Donna Bannister. We went to Nixa on Saturday and enjoyed a cookout with Rusty, Becky and Maeson Carter.

Bevy Moore and Caydee Burton came down one day and had lunch with us then another day, Bevy Moore and Raylee Burton came down and had lunch with us. One day Beth Stafford and Johnathan Snelson came down and ate supper with us. We visited in their home one day too and got to see Mandy Logan while there. We sure enjoy our kids and grandkids and great grandkids.

We have been looking for a house in town and finally made a deal for one. So we will be moving before long. We will miss our good neighbors here at Smallet, but hope to have just as good neighbors in town.

Until next week, Remember all the veterans past and present and don’t forget to thank the ones you come in contact with.
