Don't Miss

Sunday was Mother’s Day and the service began with the Praise Team leading music. We then honored the four Senior graduates with a gift. We are truly proud of our youth and wish them well as they enter into real adulthood.

Brother Roberts brought the message from II Timothy 1:1-5, “Will you Heed the Call and Walk like a Warrior?”

Evening service was dismissed for family time.

I attended evening worship with my mom, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams., in Mansfield.

On Thursday, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Gene and Joan, Delmar and I enjoyed a fish fry at my brother, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage’s. It was a very delicious meal and good visiting too.

Delmar has been mowing and putting out garden. He said he has about 80 hill of watermelon, around 30 tomato plants a whole patch of cantaloupe and potatoes, onions, beets, squash and I don’t know what else.

I learned a new cake recipe and so I have made a couple of them but they disappear pretty fast.

I had visits  from all 3 of my daughters for Mother’s Day and calls and texts from my granddaughters, my nephew, Noah Deatherage in Selma, Alabama.

I talked to Aunt Violet and Uncle Hugh Morris on Saturday for his 93rd birthday.

I called my sister-in-law, Wanda Andrews in Texas to wish her a happy day too.

It is looking so pretty out now that Spring has finally arrived.

Until next week, keep looking up from where your strength cometh.
