Church began with singing, many prayer requests and a praise report, Sunday morning. We were blessed to have several of Sister Lisa’s family with us, who would later be helping her celebrate her birthday.
The congregation sang Happy Birthday to Sister Lisa.
Brother Ric preached a very good message, taken from the book of Jonah, asking if we could be running from God? We do see that history repeats itself, as you have heard.
Martin Hathcock had his daughters, Jan and Ronda, in church and Sunday school with him this week. We are always glad to have visitors. Martin has been getting some repair work done to his home this week.
Tom and Jewell Elliott visited his sister, Pauline Ellison, at Gainesville Healthcare, Thursday. Also there was her children, Angela and Sam, along with Cole, Shane and Corbin, and her two sisters, Nadine and Corrine. Pauline is not very good at this writing, our prayers to her.
Ronnie and Pat Lansdown hosted an early Mother’s Day get together in their home Saturday. Those joining them for food and games were Doug Lansdown, Kayley and Jadon, and Casey Guerin and girls. Jill O’Neal called from Ada, Ok. with her good wishes. They missed Kristy Lansdown, who was away for work. Doug and his children stopped by Myrl Cox’s to take her a Mother’s Day gift, also. Paul Cox was Myrl’s company this week. Pat did errands for her mother, Tuesday.
Tom and Jewell Elliott attended the musical event at the Performing Arts Center, Friday evening, where MaKayla Elliott was playing her violin. Shaun, LeAnna and children, stopped by Tom and Jewell’s after the concert.
Martin Hathcock visited Harold and Kay Hutchison a couple of times this week. Kim and Danny and Dylan were there Tuesday, also.
James Elliott, J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, visited the Tom Elliotts, Saturday.
Tom and Jewell visited Paul and Beth Wade and grandson, Howard, Monday. Monday evening visitors were Jim and Carla Hearod, and Logan and MaKayla Elliott.
