Hello from our home to your home, Carol Carson came on Tuesday afternoon to have our Bible Study at 3:15, but many ladies were getting a manicure with Whitney Pollard from Three Rivers Hospice, so our starting time was delayed a while and then when we got started it was going so good they were beginning to prepare the dining room, so we had to close, but we did have a circle prayer in answer to the many requests. We are hoping that more ladies will mark this on their calendars for Tuesday afternoons.
Bro. Jeff Smith shared many good thoughts with us Thursday morning although he had a tight schedule and had to rush. He is one of our favorite speakers.
I must tell you about something wonderful that I have recently been privileged to share and this is our whirlpool bath. I am recuperating from a broken hip and have a lack of balance and words can not fully express what using this whirlpool means to me. It is sheer luxury! I don’t have to be in fear of falling!
We are told it could snow tomorrow and is to turn cold again. Tom better cover his tomato plants. He just set them outside. Well, as you know we did get snow Friday, but no accumulation. But it was beautiful to see!
Mrs. Norma came to play piano and sing for us and Tom led church at ten. Some of us went to therapy for exercise. Some visitors are coming and going and spreading cheer along the way.
The sun is shining and it is a nice day, but much colder than last week. We have some new residents. I met Mr. Don Nelsen Sunday at the dinner table and he introduced his lovely wife, Lesley to me.
My daughter, Jean Huff, visited me Sunday afternoon. She is very busy working for Oxford Health Care and her art work, illustrating and private art lessons. I miss her frequent visits.
Bro. John Haskins led our Bible Study today at 10:00 a.m. over an important chapter of Matthew, the 5th chapter. Jesus speaking. Read it! First Southern Baptist was here for the Sunday afternoon service.
We would like to welcome Audrey Hadeen, Don Nelsen and Freda Wilkerson to our home. Congratulations to Nelma Lister on getting to go home.
On Thursday May 16th we will be having a volunteer tea for our volunteers. Please come and join us.
God Bless You From Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, MO.
