Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley, Jim Lafferty, Elsie Combs and Lorrinda Coulter.
We proceeded on to congregational singing. Bringing special music was Ethel Metcalf and Melissa Harmon.
Pastor Bill Austin brought this Sunday morning message from II Corinthians 2:9-11, Proverbs 1:10-19 and II Timothy 2:16-18. Lets follow after God’s plan for us and not Satan’s. Seek the Lord to see what He wants for you. Don’t follow after the world to be like everyone else. Stand apart and be Christ-like.
The Goodhope Pickers will be at Caney, May 19th at 6 p.m. Bring a dish and join the fellowship.
Sunday evening service began with congregational singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. We have many things to ask for. Sis. Ethel Metcalf led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Bill Austin, Lila Combs and Melba Austin. Special music was by Ethel Metcalf. Bro. Jim Lafferty brought the Sunday evening message from Judges 3:1-4, 5:1-8 and Exodus 20:1-5. We need to focus on serving the Lord as Christians and a nation. Our nation was founded on Christian principles, no matterwhat the world and politicians think or say. We are choosing new gods instead of following the Living God. There is only one true living God. He will bless us if we serve Him, but we will face judgment if we don’t. We serve a jealous God, nothing should come before serving Him.
Come worship with us. You are welcome here.
