Bro. Rick’s sermon: “Jesus Looked Forward To Joy.” Today we need to focus on Jesus and the resurrection. ‘I can’t help but think about what it means to me finding the tomb empty’. Jesus endured the cross and he didn’t enjoy it, but he knew it was something he had to do. We all have things we know we have to do, and we dread doing them. Reasons Jesus looked forward with joy:
For the little children- he wanted to bless them and he knew they needed to be saved later. Bro. Rick says, he prays for his children and grandchildren and their futures every day.
Jesus knew there would be sin in the world, and that he would be needed in time of sickness. Christ took care of the sick so they wouldn’t be lost. Jesus knew he could help them and even heal them.
Those guilty of sin, we can all get forgiveness because Jesus was the lamb and made a way for us”.
After Bro. Rick’s sermon, the Deacons assisted with Communion. On Easter, we should enjoy our families, the beautiful day God has made, and think about the Lord. Evening: Foot Washing.
