There was such a great Easter parade and activities in Fordland. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and this has become a treasured event for this community. We appreciate Pam and Virgil Keeton for all of their hard work and to the many area businesses that contributed as well. I am already looking forward to next year. It was so nice to see such a great parade.

I appreciate all of you who have remembered our family in the loss of my niece, Beverly Yates. Beverly was the daughter of my brother, Nathan Nichols. Her mother was Irene and they have all joined one another in eternity. She was such a kind and caring individual and I ask that you continue to remember her husband (Bill), her children and her siblings in your prayers. She was laid to rest in Washington state.

I appreciate my family for taking me to Branson the other night to see the Piece Arrow Show. They were having area appreciation throughout the month of March and you cannot beat a great show for $10. Scott Fraker is part of that show and for many years he was our evangelist at our church tent revival. He is such a great singer and we loved the comedian, who is a native of the Ava area. I really enjoyed the ride down, dinner at Taco Bell and the show. You do not want to miss it, if you have never been there before.

Shirley (Copeland) Smith and I went down to Ava the other night and enjoyed the band “Big Creek” at the Ava Family Theatre. We really enjoyed spending time together as we have been dear friends for many years. It was a great show and fun to spend the evening out, remembering old times.

Sounds like it could storm much of this week. However, spring is in the air. These old hills are coming alive with fresh grass and we have heard the sounds of lawn mowers already! Soon the mushroom hunters will be out and about. Hope to see you out this way in the near future. God Bless all of you readers.
