Mt. Tabor Church

Church began with singing, “Amazing Grace”, with devotion and prayer requests. We have so many that are out and many with serious illnesses to pray for.  We appreciated having Brother Jerry and Donna Loveland in our morning service, and especially having Donna play the piano. Please come again.

Brother Ric read from Corinthians and ask the question, “What does God expect from the church?”, a very interesting message.

White River Assn. begins this Friday evening and Missouri Assn. begins next Friday evening. I’m sure our attendance would be appreciated.

Mary Ann Hathcock continues to be very low at this time. Their children are staying round the clock with them, and caring for their mother. They have quite a few visitors and lots of calls to inquire about their health. Continue to pray for them.

Bonita Winingham came to Ava from her home in Louisville, NE. Thursday evening. LeAnna, MaKayla and Logan Elliott visited that evening, also.

Friday, Bonita and Jewell drove to St. Louis and spent the night with Dan and Connie Thompson, returning home Saturday evening.

The Elliotts Sunday visitors were Lisa Johnson, J.C. Hall, Vicky Burnett, Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, MaKayla and Logan. Bonita returned to her home Monday morning.

Lloyd Shumate is not doing well at this time, their family is staying to help Ruth with his care.

Harlin and Shirley Hutchison and Amy, stopped by to visit Harold and Kay Hutchison Friday evening. They were on their way to Silver Dollar City for a remote for KKDY in West Plains. They stopped back by on their way home Saturday evening, also.

Kim Clements, Morgan, Dylan and Sarah Claussen visited the Hutchisons Monday morning. Morgan has been missing school with a case of bronchitis.

Some of Mae Cox’s visitors a few weeks back were Mr.and Mrs. Jerry Hunnell and Gary Mitchell. Cletis Pruiett and Golda Dixon visited as did Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Pruiett, who were here for the funeral of Larry Davis.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Applegate visited his aunt, Chestene Lietch, Tuesday afternoon. They had spent time in West Plains visiting Jo’s family in the area. They visited at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Kay Hutchison, also.
