This is the day, the Lord has made, let us rejoice in it.
I think Spring has arrived, it sure was a beautiful day. Thank you God.
Prayer requests were many: Frank Gary Honeycutt, Tom Brown family and unspoken. Bevy was ill, we pray she recovers very soon along with other people mentioned.
Bevy is our piano player and the music is not the same without her.
Pastor Gary needs to multi-task, he needs to take piano lessons.
The Pastor’s message Sunday had an unusual title, Are You A Pig Or A Chicken? The Pig Was Committed, The Chicken Involved. I couldn’t figure out for awhile, but the light came on, in the food world the pig is committed, the chicken involved. There is a big difference in the two words.
Are we committed, really committed to our Christian life or involed when it’s convenient? Commit, means to give in trust, or charge, to bind or obligate. Involved, a necessary circumstance, to affect in other words – hands on, helping others, giving of ourselves.
Psalm 37:5 tells us, “commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. It is a very good testament of commitment. God told Abraham get up and go and Abraham got up and went. How many people have a Abraham nature?
The evening service message was in Psalm 51:1. Have mercy upon me, O God according to they loving kindness.
It is glorious when we look back and see what God has done for us, and where he brought us from.
