Signs of Spring are here, but the cold air tells us we are still in Winter time. As in the past more settled weather is never with us until after Easter time and Easter is March 31st.
Happy Birthday to Arreaun Moody on March 6th, and Stephanie has a March 31st birthday coming up.
We were saddened by the death of a former Tecumseh resident and good friend, Jim King RN and PA, of Urgent Care facility in Branson, and Geneva and David King of Hollister have our deepest sympathy. Services were held Tuesday in Branson. Jim had friends wherever he went and will be missed by all who knew him.
All the families who have lost loved ones have our sympathy, and there have been many deaths of friends we knew lately. Among those were Lovice Wallace, Eutha Kirkland, Jimmy Lon Crisp, Orville Shaffer, Leroy Cutright and Leroy Jenkins.
The funeral of Jim King was at Snapp Funeral Home and buried in Edwards Cemetery on Highway 76 near Branson.
Maxine Smith is back from Tempe, AZ. where she visited her daughter’s family since December.
This Thursday the Friendly Neighbors Club plan to get some comforters and a quilt finished for families who might need them. All club members are encouraged to come help with them. Meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the health center basement.
Pastor Dale Roberts of Lilly Ridge Church announced that the first Sunday night of each month will be devoted to singing along with specials. Everyone is invited.
Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. March 15th the annual Little Vine Association Meeting will be hosted by Lilly Ridge Church and on Saturday, March 16th at 9:00 a.m. A noon meal will be served Saturday.
We will be turning up our clocks this coming Saturday night so we have Daylight Savings Time through Spring and Summer months until November.
The potluck dinner Sunday at Lilly Ridge Church was enjoyed by several families who stayed over after morning services.
Sunday the 24th is National Missions Sunday observed and our church makes a contribution to them.
Several folks have had bad colds. Best wishes to Ernestine Gaddy who has been sick, but came to church Sunday morning.
Tara Miller and boys visited Dave and Karen Davis Saturday. Their son, Larry, visited them Sunday. Dave had a doctor’s appointment Tuesday.
