We were very happy to see Lisa back and to have her leading our worship singing again. Please pray for her continued healing and good health. We missed you Lisa!
Bro. Oren read scripture from Acts 17:22-31. Paul was telling the men of Athens that God lives within each of us, not in temples made of stone, marble or gold. He doesn’t serve us; it is us who should be serving Him. He created everything, including all of us. So where do you go when you make a mistake? You know our refuge is with the Lord. He accepts us like we are. He gives us a chance to seek Him, repent of our mistakes and love Him. If we give Him our hearts and our lives, he accepts us as His children. Don’t let the day come when we are face to face with our Lord and He says He doesn’t know us. Go to Him today and change your life.
Wednesday night Bible study is starting a new study in Revolution. It should be very interesting and we welcome you to join us each Wednesday at 7 p.m. Our youth ministries also meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
We appreciate all the volunteers who made our Valentine banquet so successful. We appreciate all your hard work.
Please review all the prayer requests that were spoken of on Sunday morning. We know there are lots of people hurting right now and they need each prayer we can send up. Please remember the Dain Smith family in their time of sorrow. We also want to pray for Bud Clinkingbeard who is recovering from his illness and for Sarah Hawkins who is recovering from her surgery. We pray that Ruby Alcorn will get to come home and pray for her continued recovery. I’m sure she misses being in her own home.
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour before bedtime on Sat. March 10th. Yes, we’ll lose that hour of sleep on Sunday morning, but be sure and do that so you’re not late for worship service.
Don’t forget Sunday school at 8 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. There will be a great lesson planned for everyone.
Our Choir for the Easter Cantata is practicing very hard, but there is still time if you want to be a part of that ministry. We would love for you to join us Sunday evenings at 5 p.m.
Have a great week, we hope you will share your worship experience with others you meet. Invite someone to church. If you don’t have a church home we would love your company at Ava General Baptist Church. Remember God is always near. See you Sunday. God Bless.
