Scott Linton had the Sunday evening service at Lilly Ridge and it was his last, as he is moving on and Dale Roberts will be back at our church as pastor. Best wishes to Scott after being with us for two years. We will miss him.

I had a letter from Ginger Peters in New Jersey and she sends greetings to her club sisters of Friendly Neighbors Extension Club, and sent her dues for another year to remain a member. She would like to hear from some of her friends here.

Mearl and Beulah Satterfield and I were in West Plains shopping Monday.
Dave and Karen Davis were in Poplar Bluff for Dave’s Medical therapy at the Veteran’s Hospital one day last week. Karen and I were in Mtn. Home for my doctor visit last Wednesday.
Prayers are for Marcia Lyon as she is recuperating at home from her surgeries.
My granddaughter Dana and husband Chet Taylor attended the church in West Plains where his father J.C. Taylor preaches.
Speaking of strange holidays, I heard on TV this Monday is “bubble wrap appreciation day.” It is very useful when sending items by the postal service, and rough handling, perhaps.
Saturday, Feb. 2, Mr. Groundhog will be either exploring the outdoors and checking weather conditions, or staying in his winter habitat until more settled weather. The folks in Pennsylvania have quite a festival and celebration on this subject.
News this Monday morning told of Barbara Walters having chicken pox.
