February 5th meeting was called to order by Sharon with 13 weighing in with a loss of 7.5 lbs. High loser was Rachel. Sharon and Judy stayed the same.
We are having a new contest called Blast Off For Weight Loss, it lasts 10 weeks and the winner gets $25.
The lesson this week was on the third part of stress management, Attitude of Gratitude. Check your emotions, count your blessings. Write things down, such as needing help at the store lifting things, need a ride because car is broke down and feel the need to watch what you eat. Don’t be hit with seasonal depression, take Vitamin D. Laughter is good for you. Turn rage to a nod, breathe. Referring to blessings, have a reason for living and tell yourself why.

The lesson this week was by Margaret for heart month – February. Know the signs of a heart attack, which are pressure on chest, back pain or neck pain and jaw, shortness of breath, cold sweats, unexplained nauseau, unfamiliar dizziness, left arm pain. If you have these symptons, make the call. Also promote common signs and save your life – check family history, elevated cholesterol, lower high blood pressure, diabetes and bad circulation, smoking causing blood clots, high salt is bad, sedentary lifestyle, weight and alcohol.
T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit international weight-loss support group open to anyone 7 years of age or older.
