Don't Miss

Rome

While shopping in town last week I saw people buying some garden seeds, after thinking about it, I realized it’s the middle of February and time to start thinking about flowers and veggies gardens.

Norma Cross and I were in Springfield Friday to take my Dodge to Carwin Auto, to fix a minor problem. They had recalled those model cars. We had lunch and shopped a little afterwards. We picked Kenny and Seth Hunt up in Sparta on our way home.

Tony Richards worked on our road yesterday afternoon, he filled some holes and graded it, sure did help it a lot. John Webster is going to spread rock on it today, Monday.

Julian Cavalier came up Sunday afternoon to check on some work he will be doing for me. He is a handy man to have around, when you can catch him.

Goodhope General Baptist Church Women’s Ministry had their monthly meeting Friday evening with Becky Phipps as their speaker, her husband, Skipp, provided the music. Becky is a wonderful speaker and very spiritual. She is coming back next month.

We had a full day at Goodhope General Baptist Church yesterday the 17th. David Welsh, our pastor spoke from Philippians 3:17-22 and other teachings from Paul’s writings. At 5:00 o’clock we were back for the Valentine banquet, there were games and lots of good food. We appreciate our youth leaders and our youth who served us.

Psalms 146:5, “Happy is He who has the God of Jacob for His help. Whose hope is in the Lord his God.”
