Live Jam, Open Mic Begins March 4 at Ava Senior Center

A group of local musicians are planning an open jam session every Monday night, beginning March 4, at the Ava Senior Center.

Sessions will run from 6 to 9 p.m., and J.D. Morrison, one of the organizers, says it will not run over.

There is no cover charge and no admission. Everyone is welcome to come listen, or to bring an instrument and join in.

There will also be an open mic for those who wish to sing, and everyone will get a turn.

All types of music are welcome – country, bluegrass, gospel, big band, blues, etc.

P.A. and mics will be provided, however, those using amplified instruments will need to provide their own amplifier.

Snacks and drinks (coffee, sodas and juice) will be available for a donation. All proceeds will go to the center for expenses and utilities.

Absolutely no alcoholic beverages will be allowed.

Any questions should be directed to J.D. Morrison (683-0373); Larry Morrison (849-1875); or Bonnie Evans or Tommy Roberts (683-5712).
