Highway Patrol Investigates Wrecks In Douglas County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated two motor vehicle crashes in Douglas County during the past week.
One of the wrecks, that occurred in eastern Douglas County, resulted in serious injuries to one driver.
Troop G reported that wreck occurred on April 17 at 10:37 a.m., on Highway 181, three miles north of Highway 76.
The report said a 1986 Honda driven by Lloyd E. Ebert, 58, of Willow Springs, made a U-turn in front of a 2003 Chevrolet driven by Patrick D. Moorhead, 37, of Cabool.
Ebert was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
On Sunday, April 20, at 5:12 a.m., the Highway Patrol investigated a one-vehicle incident just east of Ava on Highway 14.
Tpr. Jason Philpott reported that a 2003 Dodge pickup driven by Shawn D. Wilkerson, 25, of Ava, ran off the road and struck a fence and some trees.
Wilkerson suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene, the Troop G report said.
