What a week, I had the flu, I mean the whole nine yards plus. James had it and we could not hardly take care of each other. According to the ground hog we will have early spring. One day James killed several red waspers. With weather being cold then warm back and forth I hope we are not heading for another drought. We appreciate all the calls and concerns while we were ill. Trouble is we’re not over it yet.
Garrison Church had 59 this Sunday and 51 last Sunday. A lot are still sick. We didn’t attend a week ago. Rev. Dennis Downs preached for James. This Sunday was long day. The church had Colton Jones and Jordan Rader a wedding shower. They will get married February 23rd at Life Church in Ava and reside in Branson. They had a very nice shower.
Last Sunday night during church we all got ready for the ordination scheduled for February 10th, this Sunday. Bub Payne, Brett Stevens and Chris Bettis will be ordained at 2:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at noon.
We hope Willene Adams surgery will go good for her Thursday. The fall broke her hip so a replacement hip surgery is being scheduled. They are not sure on the date yet. I am glad Violet Hinote got out of the hospital. There is lots of sickness and accidents happening.
Gordan Jones came home Sunday for awhile. Plans are he will be back home Tuesday to stay. We visited him and Zelda Monday and it maybe longer. Pray for him to gain strength.
Sympathy to Robert Phillips family and Keith Applegate and many others who lost loved ones. Dwayne Johnson’s mother passed away. Lou and Bob Rains attended the funeral and a large crowd attended.
Melissa Payne’s grandpa passed away.
I appreciate the Herald for the nice Christmas gift.
Early Spring is on the way, but we may have a lot of winter yet. I hope Mr. Groundhog is right.
Early Easter, early Spring, I am for it.
