Our mid-week service starts at seven. We have been studying in I Corinthians, about the gifts of the spirit and the use of them.
If you don’t have a mid-week service, come and join us.
Sunday morning, to me, is always a joyous time.
I enjoy the Sunday school service very much. We have a wonderful teacher, Linda Roberts. She challenges us to ask questions, to give our thoughts on the scripture. It makes for a very good study.
The prayer requests were many: Bevy’s father, Bonnie B.’s family, Ruby Graham’s sister and brother-in-law, Curtis, unspoken request by Norma Jones, Linda P.’s best friend in a car accident.
The morning message was about a Faithless and perverse generation, Matthew 17:17.
After Jesus healed the demonic boy he told his disciples the reason they could not heal the boy, when he was brought to them, “your unbelief.”
If we have the “faith as a grain of mustard seed,” Matthew 17:20, think about it.
Have you ever moved a mountain? Where is your faith?
Jesus was tempted also. We must come boldly unto the throne of grace. I fear we fall very short of all God’s promises.
Sunday evening was our third week singing. We had a wonderful bunch of specials songs, sung by different people and Darrell is playing his instruments. I don’t know the name of them, but the music was great. He had been keeping his talent hid under a bushel. We enjoy your music, Darrell.
Scripture for this week is Mark 8:34, “whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.”
Come visit us at N.W. 6th Ave. and N.W. 7th St. Come visit, you might want to stay!
