Third week of January – During our Wednesday night services we have been studying I Corinthians 13-14. The thirteenth chapter is called the love chapter. That chapter is easy to understand.
The bottom line is love, if we do not love our fellow man, verse 13:13 states, “we are nothing.” That’s pretty plain. Do you love the unlovable? Or just the “good ole boys,” we know we love or brother and sisters in Christ, but it has to be everybody.
Sunday morning was a beautiful day the Lord blessed us with. He has blessed us with several warm days, thank you Jesus.
There were many prayer requests, Israel, our country, Fleetwoods, John’s brother, Teresa, Shiela, Linda R. family and the truck drivers in our country.
God hears and understands our requests and takes care of them.
The message could have been named, “On That Day Will You Fly?” That is a very somber statement. No matter when God’s trumpet sounds, or where you are at or what you are doing, will you fly, ponder on that.
Sunday evening we had another thought provoking message. “Do you want a revival? What are you willing to sacrifice? Your time, fasting and praying, spreading the news, picking someone up and taking them to the service? Do you want a revival?
We had several unspoken requests for prayers as well as for John’s brother and his family and for all those with so much sickness.
God knows and cares about each and every request and tends to them in his way.
It begins with us, in our heart, the preacher cannot bring it, the church has to be on fire and prayed up. Lets get excited, like we were when we were first saved.
Come see us, visit our church, hear our pastor, you may decide to stay.
Wednesday night service at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Thought for the week, “Anyone can count the seeds in apples, but only God can count the apples in a seed.”
