We began our Lord’s Day service by standing to read our devotion from James. Prayer requests were shared. Among those were Carol and Brad Gott. Howard Gott, a lifetime neighbor, had passed away. As always, we pray for lost loved ones, our nation and revival.
After Sunday school classes, Stan Humbyrd led us in two songs. He and Clay McFarlin received our Lord’s tithes and offerings. Testimonies were shared. Pastor Neal continued our study on fasting reading from Isaiah 58.
Danny Johnson dismissed us in prayer and asked the blessing on our noon meal, which consisted of a variety of vegetables dishes and fruit. It really was very good.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal began with prayer followed by singing. Prayer requests were shared and testimonies were given. Pastor Neal preached from Daniel on fasting, after fasting for 21 days, Daniel alone saw a vision and had no strength and behold a hand touched him, which set him upon his hands and knees. This hand was believed to be the Angel Gabriel. He said, fear not, Daniel, from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before God your words were heard and I am come for your words.
Each Tuesday we have special prayer at 7 p.m. and each Wednesday we have Bible study at 7 p.m. Come and worship with us. You are always welcome.
