Rep. Tony Dugger Named Chair of House Committee On Financial Institutions

JEFFERSON CITY – Rep. Tony Dugger, R-Hartville, has been named chairman of the House Committee on Financial Institutions.

Selected by the Speaker of the House Timothy Jones, Rep. Dugger will play a key role in the development of legislation assigned to the House Committee on Financial Institutions.

“It is a great honor to be selected to serve by Speaker Jones,” said Dugger. “I look forward to the important discussions we will have as a committee during the weeks and months to come as we continue to strengthen the economy of the state.”

The First Regular Session of the 97th General Assembly began Monday, Jan. 9, in Jefferson City with the ceremonial swearing in of House and Senate Members. The first meeting of the House Committee on Financial Institutions is expected to be held as soon as legislation is assigned to the Committee by the Speaker of the House.
